I've outgrown my size 3 Gray-Nicholls cricket bat so needed to get a new size 4 bat.
I decided that I would like a Warsop bat this time and I'm really lucky because Warsop's workshop is just down the road to where I live ! So Mum took me there after school last week so that I could be measured for a new bat.
The lady was really helpful and in the end I decided on a "Superior" bat. I could choose what type of grip I would like and chose a combo grip in bright red. Included in the price was whatever colour case I wanted, so I chose a red one.
I haven't used my new bat yet as it needs oiling and knocking-in, but I'm hoping that I can use it soon.
Everyone at Warsop is very helpful and they also repair bats so if you've cracked yours or scuffed the bottom badly, they can repair it for you.
You can click on any of the Warsop links within my blog to get to their website.
Half Term Cricket Camps at Essex County Cricket Club
Essex County Cricket Club will be running cricket camps in the half term holiday.
I've been to lots of these in the past and they're really good fun. They cover batting, bowling and fielding and last about 5 hours - you need to take a packed lunch.
You get to practice your coil action bowling, front foot drives and all different types of fielding.
You'll also get to make lots of new friends !
Booking is through the Essex Cricket Club.

A win for Essex Under 10s
Yesterday I played at Chigwell School for Essex Under 10s. We played against London Schools and Essex won !
It was supposed to be a 40 over match, but because of the bad weather it was reduced to 35 overs.
Essex won the toss and chose to bat first. We made 179 for 9 and finished at tea. Unfortunately it had started raining pretty hard and so when London came into bat, Essex found it difficult to bowl with the ball being so wet and no way of drying it off. London made 90 for 7 - I took two of the wickets. We've got some really good bowlers and 2 fantastic wicket keepers - our fielding was also very good.
At the end of the match we were all soaked but really happy to have won our first match of the season.
Next week we'll be playing Bucks at Milton Keynes, but unfortunately I can't make this match. But good luck to all of the Essex boys - here's to another fantastic win !

Looking forward to tomorrow
Tomorrow will be my first game for Essex Under 10s. I'm really excited and a little bit nervous. We'll be playing against London Schools. There are 4 "new boys" in the team and I'm one of them. All of the other boys played together in the Under 9s squad so are used to playing together, but as the new boys have been training with them since February, we hope that we'll all play really well as a team tomorrow.
I've been lucky to play cricket pretty much every day over the last week, so feel ready.
I'll be back next week, with good news .... hopefully!
Wish us luck !
